Friday around 4pm Franzi and I left my house to go to Cuernavaca, which is like one and a half hours away from the city. Cuernavaca is called "The city of eternal spring", because the weather is always really nice and warm. So first we took the Microbus and the Metro until we were in Tasqueña, where we took the bus to Cuernavaca. It's unbelievable, but the trip to cross the whole city took us longer than the bus ride to Cuerna. At 8pm we met Jorge, my friend, who I got to know two weeks ago in Puebla. That night we went to a bar, where we learned how to dance salsa and afterwards to a club, where we kept dancing salsa.
Saturday we went to visit Tepoztlan, a small magic town close to Cuerna. We climed up the Tepozteco, a mountain with a pyramid on top. The view was amazing and we enjoyed the warm weather. Sometime later we explored the market and tried like 10 different kinds of Tequila with fruit flavors. Ajaja, it was delicious!! After we ate Quesadillas we went back to Cuerna, where we were gonna watch Jorge play soccer, but unfortunately the opposite team didn't show up. So, we walked along the streets and went to a restaurant to get a cappucchino con cajeta, so that we would wake up a little. Que mas? In the late afternoon we went to the city centre, where we spent some time walking around, taking pictures and so on... Later at night we went back to Tepoztlan to go to a place, where they played salsa music. But first we ate delicious hamburgers, so that we would be strong enough to dance all night! Which we actually pretty much did! The place was amazing and so was the music and the guys who danced salsa. Even though Franzi and I don't really know at all how to dance salsa, we had a lot of fun and at the end of the night, we could at least follow some of the steps! We've never had so much fun before!! When we got back home it was like 3am, but we just couldn't fall asleep, we were so happy and talked and laughed and we can just not believe how happy we are to be in Mexico!
This morning we woke up at 9am, I don't know why we did, but we just couldn't go back to sleep. At 10.30 the guys came over to our room and until 1.30pm, we just sat in bed, talked, laughed, relaxed and enjoyed the cozy time. It was really good, just to chill and not do anything. But unfortunately at 2.30 we had to leave to get on the bus back to Mexico City. We didn't want to leave, but we know that we can always go back! Muchas gracias Jorge!
